Friends of Center for Children's Happiness (CCH) Helps Child Orphans in Cambodia out of Poverty

Friends of CCH, located in the United States, is dedicated to support of the Center for Children’s Happiness orphanage in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Areas of support include:

  • Fund Raising
  • Dissemination of information about CCH
  • Consultation with CCH on questions of education and administration

Co-directors of Friends of CCH are Halimah and Elia Van Tuyl. Halimah is a veteran elementary school teacher in Palo Alto, California. She has worked closely with CCH staff and children to enhance educational opportunities for the students at Center for Children’s Happiness. Elia is a retired businessman, and currently does films and photography in support of worthy endeavors such as CCH. He has created the video and photographic materials on this website that tell about CCH.

Child Orphans in Cambodia---What is being done by Center for Children's Happiness to help children out of poverty, get them away from the Steung Meanchey dump, away from the risk of trafficking, give these children education and hope for the future:

Friends of Center for Children's Happines supports an extraordinary orphanage in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. CCH orphanage creates a loving home for orphans and other children who have worked at the Steung Meanchey Waste Disposal Dump, are AIDS orphans, were at risk for being trafficked, had parents die from landmine accidents, or otherwise have been victims of poverty. Cambodian staff offer the children love and hope through education, good nutrition, medical care, and instruction in Khmer, English, and traditional culture 0f Cambodia..
